Warren and Nick came to us with a great premise for the Lucozade Revive commercial. There was a very heavy emphasis on how dancer Dixon Mbi would influence and drive the particles around his body.

 

We researched a number of approaches, and settled on a full CGI approach. Collectivly, we determined an interesting approach to Dixon being on a constantly rotating stage, with several witness cameras capturing where he was in the space at any given time.

 

There were several interesting R&D developments along the way, and many interesting renders. I only wish deep compositing had been around when we produced this project. That sort of tech would have changed the approach...
